St Marylebone Parish Church is seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring fundraiser for the newly created role of Development Director. The post-holder will be responsible for leading the fundraising campaign to raise £4m to support our client’s Heritage Lottery funded project, Changing Lives. 
We are a major parish church at the heart of central London. It is a living and worshipping community of faith shaped by its historic engagements with music, art, community building, education, wholeness and healing. 
As part of the Senior Management Team, working with the Rector, Operations Director and Parochial Church Council (PCC), the Development Director will create and implement a fundraising strategy to raise the capital required for completion of the Changing Lives project as well as ongoing revenue funding. 
The successful candidate will be flexible, entrepreneurial and excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of the church. S/he will have demonstrable fundraising skills and a proven track record of securing five/six figure major gifts. 
This is a new and very significant role within the church. The post-holder will report directly to the Rector and interface with members of the PCC on fundraising matters.

Finance Assistant

St Marylebone Parish Church is looking to recruit a part-time Finance Assistant (at least 8 hours per week) to join its small Finance Team. 

The successful applicant will be required to maintain and ensure accurate record keeping, process purchase orders, make payments & process receipts, carry out bank reconciliations, ensure accurate and timely Gift Aid processing and VAT recovery.
The post holder will also respond to queries, via email and telephone. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, have a keen eye for detail and possess a strong knowledge of Sage Accounting and Payments software as well as Microsoft Excel.
Ideally the successful applicant will work on Thursdays. There will be opportunities to work extra hours and provide holiday/sickness cover throughout the year, so flexibility is essential.
Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour.
