Jazz Ensemble

Dom Howard is a guitarist and composer from Cambridge, based in London. He is currently in his final year at the Royal Academy of Music on the jazz course.

Dom’s playing and compositions draws on jazz and improvised music, post Rock/prog Metal, 20th century classical and a variety of folk song. Dom uses a variety of techniques and pedals to create textures, framing melodies and songs in new and exciting ways. Dom’s sound is distinctive, drawing the listener into sonic worlds, journeying through his compositions and improvisations. His latest single, ‘Sense of Falling’, captures some of this energy, with new releases inbound.

Dom is bringing his latest project, a sextet fusing chamber and jazz elements. His writing for the lineup, featuring two vocalists and percussion, explores the unique orchestrations possible of this group and different roles of improvisation in the music.
