Sights and Sounds of Marylebone: Sensory History
In celebration of St Marylebone’s rich heritage, the 2025 Lecture Series returns, inviting you on an immersive journey through the senses to uncover stories of the past. Through a series of evening talks, we offer you the chance to explore history in a new way—through sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. Step back in time as you experience the vibrant street sounds of days gone by, indulge in the luxurious flavours of the pleasure gardens, encounter the lingering scents of the St Marylebone workhouse, and more.
We have an incredible range of speakers each knowledgeable on diverse themes.
Each lecture will start in the Crypt at St Marylebone at 6:30 pm and will last about an hour, with time after for questions and discussion.
