In addition, the Register containing the marriage of Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning on 12th September 1846 will be on display.

Dr. Alice Zamboni is the Curator of Modern Archives and Manuscripts at the British Library, where she oversees the interpretation and management of the library’s collection of archives and manuscripts dating from 1601 to 1950.

Her expertise lies in early modern Dutch visual culture, a specialism she developed through her PhD. However, her research interests extend more broadly to the history of collecting as reflected in manuscript culture, as well as the global networks of exchange that shaped early modern botanical and medical knowledge.

Beyond her work at the British Library, Dr. Zamboni is an active committee member of AMARC (the Association for Manuscripts and Archives in Research Collections), where she serves as co-editor of the AMARC newsletter.
