The Scent of London – A History of Local Smells with Will Tullett

Lecture

Will Tullett, an expert in the history of smell and heritage, will take participants on a sensory journey through the local area, exploring its rich and evocative “smell-scape.” This unique experience delves into the olfactory history of the region, uncovering how the scents of the past have shaped the cultural and social fabric of British life. From the pungent odours of stables, once the backbone of rural and urban economies, to the aromas of bustling market streets, Will Tullett will guide attendees through this often overlooked sense.
