Isabelle Allan is currently in her last year studying the violin with Stephanie Gonley at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Isabelle enjoys playing chamber music, exploring the extensive repertoire for both the modern and baroque violin. Her quartet won the Guildhall St James’ chamber prize in 2024, and since then have played in music festivals across the country and abroad. They are Britain Pears Young Artists 2025 and were part of the Hans Keller Forum 24-25.
Craig White is a passionate and highly acclaimed chamber musician, dedicated to both instrumental and vocal repertoire. A graduate from St Catherine’s College, Oxford and Royal Academy of Music in London, he studied with Michael Dussek and Diana Ketler. Craig’s career as a staff pianist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a duo-coach at the Royal College of Music has allowed him to share his expertise with aspiring musicians. His debut at the prestigious Wigmore Hall with Oboist James Turnbull in October 2010 marked the beginning of a remarkable journey, performing at all the major concert venues around London.
Isabelle Allan (violin) and Craig White (piano), present two violin sonatas: Brahms sonata no 1 in G major and Janacek sonata, and also a short piece called ‘Romance’ by Scottish Composer Helen Grime. Expect gorgeous melody’s and speech like writing as we explore Brahms’ romantic music and Janacek’s folk music influence.
