Assistant Director of Music

Following the appointment of William Fairbairn as Assistant Director of Music and Head of Choral Music at Clifton College, the Rector seeks a gifted and confident organist to work alongside the parish church’s Director of Music, Organ Scholar and ten-voice professional choir who will also run the parish church’s Junior Choir.

Part-time Flexible but including Sundays

Salary range £26,000 – £30,000 pa pro rata 

St Marylebone Parish Church wishes to appoint an experienced and gifted person to coordinate this key aspect of our parish’s life.

We are a central London Anglican parish church with a strong choral and eucharistic tradition. Our flourishing Young Church meets during both the 8.30 am and 11 am services. Theatre trips, gatherings of parents and annual confirmations supplement the Sunday offering of Young Church and Junior Choir.

Informal visits are encouraged.

 

This post is subject to enhanced Safeguarding (DBS) Disclosure and a probationary period of employment. We are only able to consider applicants who are eligible to work in the UK. It is an occupational requirement of this role that the post-holder is a committed and practicing Christian.
