Our Vision for the Next Five Years
St Marylebone Parish Church is preparing a plan for the next five years, setting objectives for how we want our mission as the presence of Christ in our communities to develop. Having come to the end of a successful restoration and upgrading of our facilities, now is the time to celebrate the way in which our mission is flourishing and to think creatively about how it might grow over the next season of our life together.
The project we have just completed was called changing lives. We want to ensure that everything we do continues to be geared towards that outcome: for God to change our lives and, through us, the lives of those with whom we have contact throughout the week.
We want as may members of the St Marylebone family as possible to be involved in this crucial agenda setting for the next five years. To that end, please fill in this very brief questionnaire between now and 20 June.
If you would like to be more involved in the process, there will be the opportunity to take part in a short discussion group, either in person or online, and you can register your interest (without making a commitment!) on the form.

What will come out of this project?
The project will produce two documents, published by the PCC on Advent Sunday (30 November):
· Vision 2030 – our statement of how we will contribute to the Diocese of London’s Vision 2030 for “every Londoner to encounter the love of God in Christ.”
· Mission Action Plan (MAP for short) – our own five-year plan that fleshes our our part in Vision 2030, with our objectives and a roadmap for how to achieve them.
What is Vision 2030?
The Diocese of London’s vision 2030 is “for every Londoner to encounter the love of God in Christ” – an ambitious aspiration that we – the worshipping members of the diocese – should reach every person who lives in London with the love of God.
To achieve this, the diocese has three “Ambitions” that also form the basis of our own planning:
· Confident Disciples
· Compassionate Communities
· Creative Growth
What is St Marylebone’s part in Vision 2030?
No parish church can do everything! Here at St Marylebone, we seek to fulfil Vision 2030 with the gifts that God has given us here:
Confident Disciples: our work in Education
Compassionate Communities: our work in Healing & Wholeness
Creative Growth: our Music & Worship
