Hoarding 2021
Written by Iris
If you have walked past or had your lunch in St Marylebone Parish Church garden you may have noticed some new (although perhaps familiar) faces!
Our wonderful hoarding is up – these include a number of ‘famous’ faces of Marylebone, from St Marylebone CE School student and actor Naomi Harris to Marylebone Resident, the inventor shampoo and founder of the one of the first curry restaurants in London, Sake Dean Mahommed.
Our Hoarding looks at a small selection of famous and inspirational Marylebone workers, residents and more, as well as paintings and images of the church – all of which are created by our very own young church, our neighboring GCSE students from St Marylebone CE School and Artists from across the country.
Although the hoarding is amazing to just look at and enjoy you can also get involved yourself! We have created our very own photobooth – so you can take your place in Marylebone amongst so of our most famous and inspiration people.
We have already had a number of lovely photos sent in – our personal favourite is Whiskey the sausage dog! If you take a photo don’t forget to send it across through email at heritage@stmarylebone.org or social media.
We were delighted with the quality, amount and different types of artwork we received and think it is one of the best hoardings in Marylebone! You can see some photos below…
