Baptism
In baptism, we thank God for his gift of life and publicly acknowledge his love.
The baptism (or Christening) of an adult or child is a sacred moment and a time for great celebration and thanksgiving. Baptism has a very deep meaning for Christians and we at St Marylebone would be delighted to be part of this journey with you, if you live within the parish of St Marylebone or have an existing long-standing pastoral connection with us. If you live in another parish, we encourage you to seek the permission and goodwill of the parish priest of the parish in which you live before we can agree to baptise/christen. If you do not know which your parish church is, we can help you to locate it, or you can find at the website A Church Near You. Baptism is an important step in anyone’s life; it begins a journey which needs the lifelong help and support of a Christian community. You can find some helpful material about baptism on the Church of England website.
Baptisms at St Marylebone take place within the Choral Eucharist at 11am on Sunday morning on designated dates throughout the year. Please email the Parish Office below for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.
