Pianist, Yichen Yu – Chopin Recital

About the Artist

Born in 2002 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, Yichen Yu began piano studies at age four. A prodigious talent, he was admitted in 2013 to the Primary School of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM), where he studied under Professor Shao Dan. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies at CCOM, under Professor Wei Danwen, Chair of the Piano Department.

Yichen has garnered numerous accolades for his academic and artistic achievements, including:

Fan Jianqin Memorial Scholarship

Tan Xiaowei Scholarship

Fu Chengxian Memorial Scholarship

National Scholarships from the Ministry of Education of China

Named a “Beijing Outstanding Student” (2022)

Selected as a “Yangtze River Piano Young Artist” (2023)

Admitted to the elite BOB Program for Outstanding and Innovative Talents (2024)
