Ancient Crafts – Stained Glass Demonstration with Sophie Hacker

Artist Sophie Hacker will share how she makes a stained glass window using the traditional methods of flashed glass and lead. She will demonstrate and explain all the materials involved, giving participants the opportunity to handle the tools and understand the complexities of this ancient craft. She will also offer an insight in how she responds to a creative brief.
Speaker
Sophie is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass. She has been creating art for sacred spaces for over thirty years, including stained glass, painting, liturgical textiles and bronzes.
