Will Tullett, an expert in the history of smell and heritage will be exploring the local area through its ‘smell-scape’. From stable stenches to market aromas, learn about the role of smell and the stories this often overlooked sense gives way to within British culture and society.
Speaker
Will Tullett (He/him) is a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern History at the University of York, specialising in research and teaching across three main areas: sensory history, embodied history, and environmental history. His research interests encompass the history of smell and heritage, the materialisation and embodiment of gender, as well as the histories of medicine, science, pollution, and environmental degradation.
