This concert explores the contemporary fusion of Chinese and Western musical traditions, featuring innovative works by leading composers across generations. Performed by outstanding musicians from both East and West, the programme showcases a rich variety of sonic textures and cultural voices. Highlights include the following UK and world premieres:

• Sacred Cloud Music 《庆云乐》 * – Zhao Jiping for guqin and string quartet
• Skye Boat Song《斯凯船歌》# – arr. by Ray Lin for guqin ensemble with organ
• Shadow of Sword 《剑影》 # Ray Lin for 5-stringed pipa and string quartet
• Lady of Loulan 《楼兰女》* – Zhong Yaoguang for yangqin and piano
• One Undivided 《无二》 – Sun Keting for Chinese and Western string octet
• Chronotope Folds 《时空折叠》 # – Li Linhao for Chinese and Western chamber ensemble
• Carnival of Miao Village 《苗寨狂欢》 * – Li Xinyan for mixed Chinese-Western orchestra
• Lotus Plucking 《采莲》 * – Li Xinyan for Silk & Bamboo ensemble
• Camel Bells on the Silk Road 《丝路驼铃》 – Traditional / arr. for Chinese-Western orchestra
