Slow to Surface
Slow to Surface is a process of idolising, gathering, collecting. Where unseen spaces are woven into an image, causing the study of the ‘space in between’ to come to the surface. Where weightlessness is object-ified.
In this group show, each of the 10 artists explore various slow, in-between states through dreams, found and foraged tokens, shrines and rituals, intimate observations..slow to surface encourages a lingering gaze between memory and myth, object and offering.
