St Marylebone Festival September 2025-June 26
28 August 2025, 17.00 - 20 June 2026, 19.00
St Marylebone Festival 2025–26
Celebrating the cultural heritage of Marylebone through music and the arts
Since 2016, St Marylebone Parish Church has hosted its annual festival, bringing together world-class music, thought-provoking talks, and inspiring performances.
The Music Programme
Our music programme is led by Bertie Baigent, Director of Music at St Marylebone Parish Church, and supported by the Choir of St Marylebone.
Highlights of the 2025–26 season include two major concerts of Handel and Bach, performed with soloists and the orchestra of Waterperry Opera Festival, conducted by Baigent. These monumental works will be a centrepiece of the festival’s year-round programme.
About Bertie Baigent
Bertie Baigent brings a distinctive energy to the Festival through his dual career as both conductor and composer. In June 2022, he won the Grand Prix, Classical Prize, and Symphonic Prize at the International Conducting Competition Rotterdam.
Alongside his role at St Marylebone, he has been Music Director of Waterperry Opera Festival since 2017 and currently serves as Assistant Conductor with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Opera Magazine has described him as “a force to be reckoned with.”
