Opening Hours
Feathered Friends: Art by Claire Pinney: 29 November 2024 - 7 January 2025
I was asked to paint these feathered friends as illustrations for a book of poems. As the book is winging its way to publication, I’m very pleased to be able to present them to you in this exhibition, with a few Christmas paintings thrown in. I hope, in their own way, their chirrup will bring cheer to you this festive season.
Besides being a part-time Parish Administrator here at St Marylebone Parish Church, I like to paint using the medium of ink and egg tempera. Whilst my artwork sometimes reflects a quirky and humorous observation of life, at other times, through painting, I focus on some of the issues that concern or stir me.
I studied Fine Art at London Met’s School of Art and won the University’s Purchase Prize in 2009.

This very well-presented space in the crypt of the parish church is situated in a vibrant and busy central London location, benefiting from high foot traffic. The gallery space seats 40 people, and can accommodate a standing reception up to 80 people. Artists hoping to exhibit here will need to submit a proposal detailing as much information as possible about their exhibition with images of all works to be exhibited.
